ILG-ART

An individual feels and acts in accordance with the environment where he/she lives. The images that surround us carry information affecting our positive or negative perception of things.  The set of images and their symbolic meanings are reflected in the trajectory of events in our lives. Therefore it is important to perceive precise and meaningful messages from the surrounding world, defining signs and symbols that are congruent with our individuality.

ILG-art (Image, Line, Gold), a method created by artist Alexey Klokov, brings together psychology and art. ILG-art picture is a painting created by the artist in the presence of client and reflecting his/her individuality in lines and colours. During the session, I work with the client to create a friendly environment for positive emotions and thoughts, an aura that will later be reflected on the canvas. My use of ILG-art is based on a combination of the cognitive-behavioral model of Lazarus, the Rorschach’s projective technique, and the Luscher’s colour test, visualization and meditation practices.

The client then takes the ILG-art painting home, making it part of his/her environment – a Gestalt that helps him/her subconsciously manage the perceptions of life events. Through this, the experience that the client had during the ILG-art painting session is reproduced, reinforcing his engram (i.e., the internal inscription) of positive aura, emotional balance, relaxation and freedom from destructive settings.

The ILG-art method is especially effective when working with depressive conditions, with trauma and its consequences as well as an instrument of awakening the internal (latent) resources and achieving the goals.
